Yorkshire Air Museum / Allied Air Force Memorial
Located on the outskirts of York near Elvington, the museum is 11 miles from Middlethorpe Hall.
The Yorkshire Air Museum sits on the site of former RAF Elvington, a World War II airfield used extensively by Allied bomber crews during the war. It is also the home of The Allied Air Forces Memorial.
The Museum exhibits include aircraft and vehicle displays that make up a historically accurate RAF Bomber Base.
