Lunchtime talk by Neil Hanson
A hugely engaging storyteller and award-winning speaker, Neil Hanson entertains us with "The Ghostwriter", giving us privileged glimpses into the hidden worlds of Neil's ghostwriting clients
"The Ghostwriter" unveiled
We welcome back Neil Hanson, author of 70 published books, to talk about his work as a "ghost writer". Promising to be an engaging and fascinating talk, this is not about ghosts, but about writing for clients who include household names - an American showbiz legend, England's most legendary cricketer, one of Britain's most decorated soldiers, an England football manager, and a man who turned his family's bakery into Britain's bggest fast-food chain. But also many less celebrated men and women who have led extraordinary lives or achieved remarkable things. Among many, they include SAS men, fast-jet pilots, explorers and adventurers, a treasure diver, kidnap negotiator, notorious gangster, a leading surgeon and a spy.
The "Ghostwriter" gives us privileged glimpses into the hidden worlds of Neil's ghostwriting clients, including some very famous names and some 'ordinary people achieving extraordinary things', and also reveals the truth behind one of the most earthshattering events of our times. His talk is revelatory and insightful, but also very, very funny! His talk will conclude with a delicious three-course luncheon with wines, coffee and Middlethorpe fudge.
