Nicholas Evans first joined Middlethorpe Hall in 1991 at the age of 19years as Commis Chef, before setting out to broaden his experience and enhance his skills in ever more responsible roles at various renowned restaurants and hotels around the UK. These included Michelin starred Llangoed Hall, Thornbury Castle and Owens Restaurant at Celtic Manor, before Nicholas returned to Middlethorpe as Head Chef in 2006.
Since returning to Middlethorpe, Nicholas has been responsible for running the kitchens and designing menus for the fine dining restaurant, meetings and banqueting events. He creates imaginative menus using fresh local produce and produce from our own gardens wherever possible. His attention to detail and consistent standard of excellence has seen our restaurant awarded with 2 AA Rosettes.
