CHRISTMAS HOUSE PARTY 2013
What better way to enjoy a traditional Christmas than in the setting of this elegant ‘William & Mary’ country house, with its open fireplaces, antiques and fine paintings, and standing in its own manicured grounds on the outskirts of the City of York. Take time to explore the countryside, relax in the Spa or find a quiet corner of the hotel.

On Christmas Eve, a buffet of afternoon tea delicacies will be served from 3pm onwards. In the evening, join us for a Champagne and Canapés reception, followed by carols sung by a local choir. A splendid three-course candlelit dinner will be served in the Pineapple and Oak Dining Rooms. You may wish to attend midnight mass in St Andrew’s Parish Church or at the glorious York Minster. You will be welcomed with a glass of port and mince pies upon your return to the hotel.
On Christmas Day, join us for a Bucks Fizz reception, followed by our traditional four-course luncheon. The Queen’s Speech will be shown in the Drawing Room, with a serving of tea, coffee and mince pies. In the evening, guests will have the opportunity to sample the delights of our Christmas evening buffet.
St Stephen’s Day (Boxing Day) will be more informal, with spare time to enjoy the many tempting possibilities on offer, such as some pampering at Middlethorpe Spa, pantomime at the York Theatre Royal, a picnic luncheon in the Yorkshire Dales or an exciting day of horse racing at Wetherby. We will meet again at 7pm for a three-course black-tie banquet dinner, accompanied by jazz tunes on the piano, to be followed by a fun casino evening.
You may decide to extend your stay at the special rate of £145 per person per night to include a three-course dinner on 23rd, 27th, 28th December 2013.
