Hotel Receptionist

Position Summary
Representing the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of their visit.

Speak clearly, distinctly and with a firendly, courteous tone. Use listening skills to put callers at ease and obtain accurate, complete information.  Answer incoming calls and direct them to guest rooms through the telephone console or to hotel personnel or departments.

Respond to communications from guests and travel agents concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone or through a central reservation system.  Create and maintain reservation records, prepare letters of confirmation and promptly process any cancellations and modifications.

Welcome our guests in a friendly manner, assign rooms, accommodate special requests whenever possible, and assist guests filling in their registration cards.

Receive payments from guests accounts at check-out. Also ensure hotel charges are processed diligently to guest's accounts.

Pre-Requisites
*Excellent spoken and written level of the English language;
*Positive attitude and excellent communication skills;
*Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure;
*Knowledge of Opera Property Management System is a bonus.

Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar hotel.
