Christmas House Party Break
Join us for a traditional Christmas break in the setting of this elegant ‘William & Mary’ country house with its open fireplaces, antiques and fine paintings
On Christmas Eve, arrive for afternoon tea delicacies from 3.30pm onwards in the Drawing Room and in the evening, join us at 7.30pm for a Champagne and Canapés reception, followed by carols sung by a local choir. A splendid three-course candlelit dinner will then be served from 8.15pm. You may wish to attend Midnight Mass in St Andrew’s Parish Church or at York Minster. You will be welcomed with a glass of port and mince pies upon your return.
On Christmas Day, a Bucks Fizz reception is followed by our traditional four-course luncheon from 12.30pm. The Queen’s Speech will be shown in the Drawing Room, with a service of tea, coffee and mince pies. In the evening, sample the delights of our Christmas buffet from 7.30pm.
St Stephen’s Day (Boxing Day) will be more informal with some premium time with many options for you to enjoy, such as pampering in the Spa, pantomime at the York Theatre Royal, explore the Yorkshire Dales or horse racing at Wetherby. We will meet again in the evening at 7pm for a four-course black-tie banquet dinner, accompanied by jazz tunes on the piano, and later a fun casino evening.
A complimentary bottle of house Champagne will be placed in the room of any guests staying 4 nights or more.
