Everything’s coming up Roses at Middlethorpe Hall!
Middlethorpe Hall wins Yorkshire Rose Gold Award at Yorkshire in Bloom 2007
We are proud and delighted to announce that Middlethorpe Hall, the glorious William & Mary Hotel in York, has won the Yorkshire Rose Gold Award ( Large Hotels Category ) in the Yorkshire in Bloom Competition 2007. Nothing could give us more pleasure, and it is a fitting reward to David Barker, our longstanding and fantastically talented head gardener, as well as his enthusiastic and industrious team.
Standing in 20 acres of its own gardens, Middlethorpe Hall is one of the gems of early 18th century English architecture, and is famed for the beauty of its gardens, as well as its wonderful food, served in comfortable and elegant surroundings.
The gardens include small walled areas filled with flowers and plants surrounded by box hedging, verdant lawns, an 18th century ha-ha, a lake and a superb arboretum. Whatever the weather, it is always a pleasure to walk around and explore, and there is always something new to discover. Follow this with a delicious lunch, or scrumptious Yorkshire tea, and your every wish will be fulfilled.
We look forward to welcoming you very soon.
