New staff at Middlethorpe Hall & Spa
Middlethorpe Hall & Spa welcome their new members of restaurant staff, Mihai Iliescu as Head Waiter and Nicolae Danescu as Restaurant Manager.
Combining an impressive over 20 years of experience between them in the catering world, Mihail and Nicolae from Romania will be sure to have no problems settling in into their new roles. Mihai joins Middlethorpe Hall from the Richmond Gate Hotel part of the Folio Hotels group, whose restaurant has been awarded two double AA rosettes.
Meanwhile, Nicolae enjoyed a successful six years as Restaurant Manager at the Michelin star restaurant of the Lygon Arms Hotel in Worcestershire before arriving at Middlethorpe Hall.
The panelled dining room at Middlethorpe Hall, overlooking the award-winning gardens already has an acclaimed reputation for some of the best cuisine in the North of England. The chef described as the "Star of the North East" produces excellent modern English dishes, using local produce whenever possible. The Hotel is certain that Mihai and Nicolae will maintain and build on the high standard of their two double AA Rosette food and service.
Once the home of the famous 18th century feminist and diarist, Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, the Hotel stands in 20 acres of its own award-winning parkland and gardens, and is only a short drive from York City centre.
