Ladies Hat Luncheon at Middlethorpe Hall & Spa

The popular “Ladies Hat Luncheon” returned on Tuesday 29th April to Middlethorpe Hall & Spa in York, featuring the beautiful and unique hats by Jennifer Roberts from Adorn Hars (www.adornhats.co.uk).
Ladies adorned with beautiful hats were treated to a sumptuous three-course meal with selected wines included. This consisted of mouth-watering Smoked Salmon Risotto, a perfectly cooked Braised Shoulder of Lamb served with fondant potato, shallot purée, and garlic confit with a balsamic lamb sauce. Although stomachs may have been filled, there was still room for a delightful Vanilla Pannacotta.
Lunch was followed by two interesting and insightful presentations by Rachel Atkinson from Perfect Style and Jennifer Roberts. Rachel Atkinson provided scintillating information about body shapes and the style of clothes that suit individual shapes. She dressed two models of different shapes to show exactly why their outfits suited them and explained why. Jennifer Roberts completed the presentation by demonstrating some fabulous couture hats she had designed and made for individual customers.
